PRODUCT DESIGN EXPERTISE

• Bachelor of Industrial Design (B.I.D.) from Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada

• Design Conception of the Silhouette Series of Americast Kitchen Sinks for American Standard, which has achieved sales of 200,000 /yr since its Launch in 1992

• Invented the "Modular Toilet System" for Crane Canada which revolutionalized their Toilet Tooling Development, slashing 4 Years and $500,000 from their ULF Toilet Conversion Program

• Registered Industrial Design Patents on nine (9) original plumbingware products

ULF PERFORMANCE EXPERTISE

• Created completely original ULF toilet bowl flushing systems for the Gravity and Pressurized Technologies, as well as the pioneering and launch of the world’s first Vacuum-Assist Toilet.

• Conducted grass-roots research to study the relationships between toilet bowl & trapway design parameters, and the resulting hydraulic flushing performance

• Authored several technical articles for Canadian Plumbing Industry:

Heating Plumbing & Air Conditioning (HPAC) Magazine

3D CAD/CAM EXPERTISE

• Proficient in state-of-the-art 3D CAD/CAM Technology

• Implanted 3D CAD/CAM at Crane Canada and successfully developed methods of applying this new technology to the complex and labour-intensive ceramic manufacturing process

• Also applied this technology to Injection Moulding, Blow-Moulding, Metal Casting, Roto-Moulding, Vacuum-Forming, etc.

• Published an article in Design Product News (DPN) about the use of 3D CAD/CAM Technology in the Sanitaryware Industry

PLUMBING STANDARDS EXPERTISE

• Over a decade of experience in the development & implemention of ULF flushing performance standards

• Chaired the Canadian Standards Association (CSA) B45 Technical Committee for Plumbing Fixtures

• Co-Chaired the Canadian contingent of the Trilateral Harmonization Committee for Plumbing Products (i.e. between Mexico, Canada, & U.S.A.)

• Represent client’s interests at North American Plumbing Industry committee meetings (i.e. CSA and ANSI)
